It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us and many of your colleagues to attend the 2005 Australian Family Therapy Conference.

The theme that was chosen for this years conference is Adversity, Abuse and Restorative Action

The conference theme highlights the challenges we face in working with families who have experienced adversity and abuse, and the therapeutic opportunities for witnessing the complexities of adversity and abuse and orienting to resilience and restorative action.

The conference committee welcomes participation from individuals and/or organisations that reflect Australia's cultural and linguistic diversity; and the myriad ways that this Australian community faces the complex issues of abuse, adversity and restorative action.

This includes counsellors and therapists from the private and public sectors, child protection workers, community development workers, general practitioners psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, welfare workers in fact any person working with families in diverse contexts and across modalities.
